The UK’s Times online reported on 27 Jan 06 that Prince Charles, in a recent speech at St James’s Palace, warned that Britain is facing the same obesity issues that threaten the USA.

British children account for one-third of all obese children in Europe. The British Medical Association reports that one million British children under the age of 16 are so fat, their health is at risk.  They face myriad suffering including diabetes and heart disease.

Parents, schools and communities that have not yet linked ill-fitting furniture to poor youth posture and fitness, learning deficiencies, and other related issues, are behind the curve.
