Physical Educators from around the State of Iowa recently met in Mt. Pleasant for a two-day functional fitness workshop.  The emphasis was on high-speed and affordable methods and materials that allow for inclusive physical education designed toward performance-based outcomes.  Balance, agility, speed, endurance, power and rhythm were incorporated into the training.  Hats off to these Iowa physical educators.

Looking Back
The American College of Physical Education was located at 
Grand Boulevard and Forty-Second Street in Chicago, Illinois.  
ACPE employed training from the German, Swedish and other classical systems.  
It consolidated with De Paul University in 1946.
