Jeremy Levine leads calisthenics

Dr. Ed Thomas recently spent four days at the Naval Special Warfare Command in Coronado, California with physical readiness training expert Jeremy Levine and the United States Navy SEALS BUD/S team. Thomas worked with the cadre and observed training. "It is always refreshing to be with the best of the best," said Thomas. "SEAL training is second to none."

Iowa JROTC students from Des Moines Hoover High and Ottumwa High School included physical training in their summer camp last month at Camp Dodge. Calisthenics, dumbbell drills, club swinging, medicine ball drills, climbing, rappelling and other activities challenged even the very fit.
